In this episode, our guest is Major Janet Robson. Janet is from the Northeast of England but left her hometown of Sunderland just over 30 years ago to enter Salvation Army officer training. As she seeks to follow Jesus, Janet is passionate about all people knowing their worth to God. Her current appointment as an officer is in Scotland, a place she loves and is proud to call home. She enjoys music, walking and the lifelong commitment of following her hometown football team, Sunderland AFC.

In this episode, our guest is World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker. Harry grew up as part of a Christian community in west London and has loved words from a young age and been a full-time poet since he graduated from Bristol with a math’s degree in 2015. Harry has written and performed four 5-star-reviewed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as winning Best Spoken Word Show. He has performed all around the world as well as being viewed online millions of times and been a TED talk speaker. He has published two collection of Poems The Sunshine Kid and Unashamed. This episode was recorded at the Edinburgh Fringe.

In this episode, our guest is Major Heather Poxon, Territorial Environmental Officer. Heather was commissioned as an officer in 1993, following training and experience in commercial horticulture. Having worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo for a number of years on community development projects, Heather was seconded to Rwanda during the time of civil war in that country as part of the Army's first emergency response team. This was followed by 17 years as a Corps Officer in the UK and Ireland Territory and then 12 years as head of the International Development unit, first in Territorial Headquarters, then International Headquarters. Born and raised in Kenya of officer parents, married with two adult children, Heather now oversees and coordinates the practical application of The Salvation Army’s mark of mission to Care for Creation.

In this episode, our guest is Phil Wall. Phil began working life as a London Policeman and came to faith at the age of 19. In 1990 he began working for the Salvation Army and launched the UK Mission Team that he led for the next decade. During that time, he led a team that planted Raynes Park Community Church, launched a number of programmes and missional initiatives including the Roots event. With his wife Wendy WeSeeHope.org.uk was launched. Over the last 23 years it has served nearly 800,000 people through its programmes and has raised over $30 Million to help vulnerable young people to learn skills to build their futures. To help facilitate the growth and development of the charity Phil has been serving and coaching corporate leaders across industry sectors all over the world. As part of the Queens Platinum Jubilee New Years Honours list both Phil and Wendy were honoured with an MBE each for their work in Africa and linked business innovation which was presented to them by King Charles. In 2023 they are planning to move to the USA for a few years to support the work of www.weseehopeusa.org. He has been married for 38 years, has 3 adult children & loves curry, rugby and golf

In this episode, our guest is Lee Ball. Lee has worked for The Salvation Army for over 20 years and is currently the Director of Addictions and advises all expressions of Salvation Army mission, giving guidance on how to work with the causes and consequences of addictive behaviours. Before coming to work for The Salvation Army, Lee worked for 23 years as a residential social worker with young people with emotional and behavioural disorders, then with young people with autism and then people leaving care with addictions. Lee is also a qualified Play therapist. He lives in Cardiff, is married and has five children. He loves reading, painting and martial arts.

In this episode, our guest is Paula Gooder. Paula is a popular author, speaker and writer on the Bible, particularly on the New Testament and is currently the Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral in London. Paula’s latest book is called Lydia who was living in Philippi when she met the apostle Paul on his second missionary journey. And yet she is considered the first recorded convert to Christianity in Europe. Paula tells Lydia's story - who she was, the life she lived and her first-century faith - and in doing so opens up Paul's letter to the Philippians, giving a sense of the cultural and historical pressures that shaped Paul's thinking, and the faith of the early church.

In this episode, our guest is Joanna Adeyinka-Burford. Joanna is a TV presenter, entertainer and author who has appeared on shows including Cbeebies The Let's Go Club, The Cbeebies House (UK and in the Middle East), and has hosted live events including BBC at the Edinburgh festival.
Joanna has also presented for a number of faith based projects including The Church of England’s ‘Living in Love and Faith’, ‘Talking Jesus’ and RAISE, The Salvation Army’s Children’s leaders training programme.

In this episode, our guest is Major Gordon Cotterill. Gordan has been a son and brother for 57 years, a husband for 29 years, a father for 26 years and a Salvation Army officer for 24 years. Together with his wife Kate, he finds fulfilment seeking what God wants in local ministry with Sutton Salvation Army in Southwest London. He enjoys being part of a local church that explores inclusion, diversity and hospitality in the way it reaches out to its community. He also enjoys watching sport, gardening and cheese!

In this episode, our guest is Revd Will Van Der Hart. Will is an author, coach and communicator. He is Associate Vicar at St Dionis Parsons Green, London and specialises in emotional wellbeing. Will has co-authored a book with Bear Grylls called Mind Fuel which provides practical insights to increase resilience, combat stress and live life with confidence. Will is also a director of The Mind and Soul Foundation and is passionate about equipping church leaders to look after their own emotional health as well as empowering them to manage the emotional needs of their congregations.
